I have been presenting concerts and concert series for over 20 years and have gained experience in both production and marketing. No matter how good your production might be, if nobody knows ... nobody comes! What you do about promotion, marketing and a community presence will make it all worth while. Below you will find examples of full marketing campaigns and individual concert promotions. In my case, I created the concept, slogan or theme and then worked with a graphic designer to bring that vision to life. It was a collaborative and rewarding process - and it sold tickets!
I am especially grateful to my collaborator and graphic designer Christa Douyard.
Divas Divine was a full concert series featuring all female artists. The concept of familiar church words being taken over and feminized was enhanced by the use of lipstick in the image. It was fun to play off some standing assumptions about the church, and music, and gender roles.

Buy Fresh! Buy Local! capitalized on the home-grown movement and featured all local performers made good, or still in the area. It ran on the same marketing plan as Divas Divine. Some sample pieces follow.

This concert series, Amazing Space, featured a major event with Terence Blanchard's A Tale of God's Will. Such a large scale event required a specific campaign of its own. Samples appear here, including a separate postcard mailer.
